But i haven't seen any body mention Stevie Nicks and if they did it went right over my head. Or how about Courtney Love? I've already converted two of my friends to Liz phans over the last year, and I hope you convert two more. One of them is actually my sister. She too likes "Poly Bride", so hopefully I can get her to listen to other Liz stuff. My other friend likes "Turning Japanese" because he's a big punk fan. I made a comp tape up for him of various artists and included "Blood Keeper" and "Stratford-On-Guy". Hopefully we'll see more converts in the future. On the subject of women artists/groups has anyone mentioned Weeping Tile. They're Canadian and rock, although they're without a deal at the mo'. There's also Katherine Williams. She's a UK artist who's starting to pick up an audience. Very fragile and beautiful, makes Beth Orton look silly. Writes better songs than Beth too. She stole the show at a recent Nick Drake tribute concert even though she was the only "unknown" on the bill. Look out for her album "dog leap stairs", it's hard to find in the UK, so overseas listers might have problems. Good luck. "and i wonder how i've come to know so much less than i knew before" ...
