SillieGrl<< Good morning all(black, white, yellow, red, fat, skinny, perfect, bald, hairy, gay, hetero,bi, depressed, happy, short, tall, sane, insane, and anyone else who I may have missed) I just don't get these kind of comments in 1999, why the reference to women kissing one another and not a reference to men kissing women or men kissing men or parents kissing children, what's the point here that you don't like gays? This is unreal to me, what's the big deal. As long as people are happy who cares what their relationship is? Why does it matter? Why is it an issue worthy of mention? I'm so tired of prejudice people, they create so many problems in society today. I wish there were penalties imposed on known perpetrators similar to penalties, say, for traffic tickets where after so many violations (fines),which kept getting bigger, and these violations would show up on your permanent record or something. There are so many more important issues in the world why waste one word on these prejudices TAD "Can ya see the real me me me me meeeeeeeeeeee" ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Oct 1999 09:56:34 -0400 From: "john c" Subject: trading issues in reference to craig k's post, two for one is a fine deal and you are correct in your saying that if it is agreed to by both parties then it is fine. this debate/waste of time has come from someones post about a "blanks and postage deal" which actually was a 2 for 1 deal misrepresented. there is a difference, karmically speaking. many people will make copies of their stuff and even loan their stuff out to others to copy for no other reason than to share the music. i have made lots of copies of stuff for people on this list for just "blanks and postage". when i b&p someone i only ask that they make a copy for someone in the future. mr e, you are to be complimented on your offer to duplicate your entire cd collection. i only wish i had mailed you 1400 blanks. so my message is "it sucks to type with a broken finger" no, wait it is that there are good people out there who will make copies for you with no need for anything but a thank you. so i am offering to make copies of "secretly timid" for the first five people to respond to my rant. here are some hints for a good b&p deal. BE PROMPT. INCLUDE A RETURN MAILING LABEL. our handwriting sucks sometimes. MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE ENOUGH RETURN POSTAGE. in the correct currency. INCLUDE A SMALL NOTE TO REMIND PERSON OF DEAL. Wow, a bonus of poor grammar, bad spelling and thoughtlessness! Last Thanksgiving my brother-in-law told me it is traditional to play Alice's Restaurant Massacre (from the same album) on Thanksgiving Day. (After all, the song talks about having "a Thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat.") Has anyone else heard of this tradition? Does anybody on this list practice this tradition?
