I was watching it yesterday and it totally surprised me to see her on vh1. um, B-52s were also on that segment...#49....and kate bush was 48. that's all i cared about. hehe:) steve 'I'm your one wish you'll never get And you say that you get three But you're never, never gonna get me' -cadallaca ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Jul 1999 09:09:50 -0700 (PDT) From: Katie Lynne Subject: Pony ride With the pony picture that was shown in the Vh1 segment, it's one of those quarter a ride mechanical ponies you'd ride as a kid. It was shown very briefly and I had to see this for the second time to get what it was. Maybe someone could get a still and post it on their site. Other things for me to write about, totally not Liz related, just thanks to everyone who wrote about Luscious Jackson and Beth Orton. Been able to check out their music and love them both! My brother can't get enough of the Electric Honey cd. Speaking of my brother, he has this really cool job working at a record company. Sucks knowing what they produce though. BSB, N'Sync and Britney Spears. *gag* All righty, time to sign off. Just said bye to this 14-yr-old London boy who I think has a crush on me. Hmmmm... so not Flower-like. Make you like it? Nah. What a dope, he tripped on a rope, now look at him shiver. (she even refused to play shiela na gig by the end of the DRY touring). So i just don't get why people will not embrace the new album. oh well, everyone has their own taste i guess. 4 track demos will probably be booed by anyone that is not a true pj fan (as stated B4) but it really shows her in her rawest element. i stop now. nathan "every tool is a weapon if you hold it right" MY IQ ani d. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Though originally hailing from DC he joined the legendary (then and now) band Black Flag. After helping to open the band to musical diversity (which many fans hated him for) the band eventually broke up. He went on to form Rollins Band which gained fame in the early nineties after a highly successful run on Lollapolooza supporting the "End of Silence" album. His next album "Weight" had a hit with the video for "Liar." He had released albums before these, but none of them ever gained any mainstream popularity, due to their decidedly nonmainstream edge. ("Gun In Mouth Blues, Drive By Shooting, I Have Come To Kill You, Men Are Pigs" go figure). He now acts in really bad movies (The Chase, Johnny Mnemonic) and still churns out subpar music albums (Come In And Burn). When not making music that more often then not ignored, he also writes poetry and publishes books and spoken word albums. His audio reading of his Black Flag era diary (Get In The Van) won him a Grammy a while back. As one can see, he's done just about everything (he even had a running gig on MTV Sports for a few years after a spot about bodybuilding did real well.) This seems overly longish now, and I probably left a lot of shit out, but then again, someone did ask. About something I know about, natch. - -Malmuud ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V2 #222 ************************************
