Though, they also did the song at the 4/99 show, also in Chicago. Apparently, it's strictly a Chicago thing...... As for best albums this year, I agree. Beth Orton's Central Reservation and Sleater-Kinney's The Hot Rock are two favorites. Both live shows were outstanding, too. At Liz's Cinco De Mayo show at Crowbar, The Hot Rock was played in its entirety after Dave Mead. Somebody on the crew must like it. I'm going to check out the new album from Kelly Willis, too. She opened for Beth Orton in Philly..... isn't country sounding good these days? Anyway, I think Liz should cover "I've Got a Feeling." yeah, I can just hear her voicing over the George Harrison part. It really fits her. I thought about Eleanor Rigby for a while, but decided that she wouldn't quite handle the song well. This isn't to say that she isn't a great singer, but, oh, I don't know... I probably don't really fit on this list very well. I am more of a folkie and bluegrass musician, but I am very interested in her lyrics. She writes well. Ok, enough of that. but, I was upset to see that she was not on Sessions this last week. I do like Lyle Lovitt, but I have seen him play enough and I've never seen her play (I tend to always be doing something else when she has been on tv, and chances are that she will never play Little Rock), so I was a little bummed.
