What we were talking about here was how we got into Liz and did her visual beauty have any effect on first getting into her. So I don't get how seeing her six years later at a concert and thinking she looked great relates to if her beaty influenced my decision to first go out and get EIG. As a matter of fact I think the cover shot on EIG makes her look kind of homely. TAD NP Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Jul 1999 23:56:25 -0700 From: "Stephanie Morris" Subject: Drugged and happy Just got back from "This is not a festival" Not one beach ball or hacky sack were present, nor hemp bracelets and organic burritos. We saw some hacky-sackers on the way to the show, and shot them. JK. Sleater-Kinney was great! They rocked and have great voices, and look pretty cute too. Fortunately, that doesn't overshadow (and they would never let it) their musical talent. Didn't stay for Sonic Youth- just don't know much of their stuff, and my friend's boyfriend was tired and cranky. As for the other bands, I am not familiar enough with them, and they didn't announce themselves, so I have no idea who I saw, even after asking other people. I'll have to find out on my own what they sound like. As for Green Day, I saw them too! Oh my god, I am so lame! In 1990 at Gilman in Berekeley, when they were still East Bay brats. And lastly, "Oh, and pills are still pretty big in the 90's. Remember the "date rape drug" Rohypnol, I'm not sure if that's spelled right, we always called them "hippies"." I think everyone else calls them "roofies" Better close, I just had to pull my rat out of my make up bag. Because in Cookie's Fortune (anyone else seen it? It's good kinda reminded a bit of Clay Pigeons) and there is a production of a play in it and I heard the line "dance of the seven veils" in it so I thought Liz!
