My friend asked what I was listening to, and I told her "Liz Phair!" She told me that she had read some articles and interviews about her in magazines before and had always wondered "what this fabulous woman's music sounded like." So of course I let her borrow the tape (even though I knew I would miss it dearly). She loved it and asked me a couple days later which CD she should buy first. So I graciously let her borrow the three biggies, and she decided on WCSE. Why? She said she likes it when Liz sings higher, and it seemed that she does that more on WCSE. However, her overall favorite song turned out to be "Cinco de Mayo" (especially the Rome part), so I think she will soon be purchasing WS as well. In short, welcome to the Liz Phair mailing list. We like Liz Phair. We like to talk about Liz Phair. We know a whole lot about Liz Phair. If this doesn't sound like a group of people (although I know I'm not speaking for all 900-odd list members) you'd like to associate with, unsubscribing is quick and painless. Because, you know, all that matters is what makes you happy. ObKinderGentlerMeredith: I really, really enjoy the Teletubbies. I find them adorable and very soothing. I am not a mean person. Meredith is *not* going to criticize herself like she has in every other post in which she criticized someone else +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ "You cannot fix Dracula by trying to get him to party in the sun with you." --Lynda Barry ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Mar 1999 00:42:38 -0500 (EST) From: "Nicole W." Subject: Favor I need someone to do me a favor. I will be MIA Friday and Saturday. If either of the massachussetts shows (or both) go on sale fri. or sat, could someone be designated to order me one ticket for each? Well I actually need two tickets for one of them, but I'm not sure which one. I think hte worcester show. Yeah go ahead and order two. For worcester. Now don't everyone go doing this, cuz then i'll end up with a jillion tix, but e-mail me before late thursday... like before evenin (EST). Now something else this means is NO POSTS FROM NICOLE for at least a couple of digests. So is anyone planning on going to the Louisville show? I need to knwo that Liz is goin to have a support system there. I fear that there will just be a bunch of junkie rednecs, minus the junkie, standing aroudn going "that chick is hot" but not knowing who the hell she is or een caring. SOMEONE GO TO THE LOUISVILLE SHOW! For me! I beg of you! later, Nicole ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V2 #86 ***********************************
