It airs on your local PBS station probably in the middle of the night. You can go to their website to find out the time and the channel. http://www.sessionsatwest54th.com/dec19/sessions.html Liz dreams- I had a dream awhile back where I went to see Liz in concert and I got to talk to her and she told me I had to go to Ireland because she was going to play there. I was actually going to do it too.:) I got a request for girlysound dubs from a guy from Ireland that week. Strange, but true. Aaron, I'll send them out tomorrow, I swear!:) copyright infringement- Liz is a music kleptomaniac. If she ever released girlysounds (or something, *snicker*) she would be in court for almost as long as it takes her to put out an album. I wouldn't doubt that Mark's speculations are right. Do you think she would cut out the song out of preference for the others? EIG has 18 tracks. I hope Liz IS writing during her concert break. It would be nice if we got to see her over the summer and she was playing her brand new songs. Julianna hatfield and Liz singing together cracks me up. One with a tiny babygirl voice and one who almost talked her way through her first album is an interesting combo. I think Steve's "Stop Me!" goes for me, too. I will try to keep my babblings to every other day. - ---melissa "and now you're sleeping with that girl that you used to say that you have always hated" Liz ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Dec 1998 02:45:48 -0500 (EST) From: Nicole Weisberg Subject: Nick This is bothering me. I know this shouldn't be relevant to my life, except I love little kids and babies, and hello! It's LIZ's baby! So I know Nick will be turning two in a couple of days, but what's the exact date? Anybody? You can just e-mail the answer to me if you want. I just... am curious. Danke. - -Nicole I Spy a May Queen http://www.angelfire.com/ca/DontWalk ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Dec 1998 03:58:46 -0500 (EST) From: Nicole Weisberg Subject: 69 in the afternoon Yes I know, my second post and it's only 3:52 AM. Forgive me, please. I don't post often... really. Here's my dealy. In "Go West," when Liz sings "Sixty-nine in the afternoon" I've always wondered, and maybe this is stupid and common sense, but does she mean the sexual act, or the temperature outside? I feel like the latter isn't so stupid... because if she's talking aboutgoing west, and it's 69 degrees in teh afternoon, maybe she's going like to the wild west... liek arizona, and it's winter, yet it's that warm in the afternoon. I dunno. Maybe i'm just dumb? Of course, since she's stepping down off her platform shoes, that could be i n prep somehow to perform ORAL SEX. Sorry. Just had to...type htat real big cuz i am immature. Like she just feels weird to do it with platforms on? Okay. Going to consider going to bed now. Later. - -Nicole ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Dec 1998 11:27:50 EST From: Dermich@aol.com Subject: My top 10 of 1998 Hmm, I know some folks don't like this, but it was a tradition of sorts on the old lists, so here goes. As Chipko said, "(i'm a guy, we make lists!)": 1. 12 Ways to Win People to Your Way of Thinking - Wes Cunningham 2. Version 2.0 - Garbage 3. whitechocolatespaceegg - Liz Phair 4. Is This Desire? - PJ Harvey 5. Roseland NYC Live - Portishead 6. Freak*On*Ika - Girls Against Boys 7. Angels with Dirty Faces - Tricky 8. My Big Hero - 12 Rounds 9. Saturnzreturn - Goldie 10. Decksanddrumsandrockandroll - The Propellerheads No, Liz did not make #1 this year, sorry to say. I will yet again recommend Wes Cunningham to all of you who enjoy good (and I mean GOOD) songwriting. I can't believe how good his album is. That is all. I hope you don't all hate me now. I still love Liz. I've been having too many dreams myself. Hmmmm... "dreams unwind, love's a state of mind..." Now here's something really interesting I think. I asked a friend of mine who is into aviation about her input on F-16's. Boy, you should have seen her face! She said that F-16's are like the gods of all airplanes. Hmmmm... She said when she got to see an F-16 before her very own eyes, she felt like getting down on her knees and worship it. Also, F-16's can do practically anything you want them to do. I'm not sure what else she said since I was under such heavy influence of Twizzlers. I hope everyone who is going to be traveling home for the holidays, have a safe and happy holidays!
