Fortunately we didn't have TiVo grab it off WPIX tonight, and the CT WB station didn't cut to the news until 10:00 pm, so we got the whole thing. In case anyone else out there missed the end, here's a rundown of the final scene: SPOILER SPACE At the last moment, Angel's soul is restored and Faith grabs Connor's wrist just as he's about to stake Angel. Faith kicks Connor's ass. Switch to Faith and Angel on the porch of the hotel, saying goodbye. Angel says, "So you're headed back to Sunnydale, huh?" and Faith says, "Yeah. The way Willow's been talking it up, sounds like that's where I'm needed." Back in the hotel lobby, Gunn and Faith say a macho goodbye, and Faith kids Connor about how much fun it was to kick his ass. Willow and Fred emerge from the office. Fred gives Willow a couple of books that might be useful to her in fighting the First back in Sunnydale, and chatters nervously at her about how much fun it would be to sit down sometime and talk about ancient demon languages and how funny they are when translated into Latin. Willow looks at her sympathetically and cuts her off with, "I'm seeing someone." Fred stops, looks embarrassed, and walks away. (I can't do justice to this bit in words -- suffice it to say it was absolutely hysterical.) Willow gives Angel a big hug, and tells him she'll tell Buffy he said hi. Angel looks surprised, and says "yeah, thanks." Willow and Faith leave the hotel. Angel turns back to the others (sans Cordy) and says "Well, so we're back then." He starts to say something more, but then Cordelia's voice comes from the top of the stairs saying something to the effect of "Oh no, here we go again". She comes down the stairs, revealing herself to be dressed in a black dress that reminded me of something a belly-dancer would wear. "If you were about to give us another one of your speeches about how the worst is behind us..." (she puts her hands on her huge -- and very visible -- belly), "...you might want to save it for later." Executive Producer: Joss Whedon Not much of a trailer for next week. Couldn't really tell what is supposed to happen, aside from more Cordy-as-Big-Bad, and a voiceover about "the deception continues". =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org NEXT UP: Vienna Teng, 3/29-30 =============================================== ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V5 #54 ****************************
