(with a side of grr) I realize it's Stupid Week for me (is Mercury retrograde?) but I just spent 20 minutes =not= getting any results with those two latter URLs (I read the Joss Q&A--very funny and interesting). Combination of antiquated equipment, miswriting the URLs (more than once), mistyping the URLs, getting error messages and no-password messages. Can someone please (he said plaintively) synopsize in a sentence or two what the "ain't it cool" speculations are, and what Michelle Trachtenberg's plans are? So this post won't be totally pathetic, a Steven Wright joke that for once I remembered past five minutes after I heard it: "I'm a member of the Jehovah's Witness Protection Program. I have to go door to door and tell people I'm somebody else." ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Feb 2003 07:53:36 -0800 (PST) From: Todd Huff Subject: Re: b/arrgh! Sarah Michelle Gellar, who essays the title role, is in negotiations to star in the MGM feature Romantic Comedy. Its set to start shooting this August, and thats when Buffy would normally be before cameras. Dont let the in negotiations part throw you. If negotiations are being reported in the trade papers, 99 times out of 100 its already a done deal. Officials at Mutant Enemy, Buffys production company, have indicated that while the adventures of the slayers friends may continue, on the WBs Angel or another spinoff, the title Buffy the Vampire Slayer would be retired with Gellars departure. Word has it that Buffy will not die a third death in the Joss Whedon-scripted series finale expected to air May 20, leaving the door open for a) Gellar guest appearances (should Angel continue and/or another Buffiverse spinoff appear next season) and b) a potential Buffy motion picture franchise. Michelle Trachtenberg was cast in some movie but I can't find the story either. Yahoo! They both have, apparantly, signed up to do movies in the months usually used for shooting Buffy. > > So this post won't be totally pathetic, a Steven Wright joke that for once > I remembered past five minutes after I heard it: > > "I'm a member of the Jehovah's Witness Protection Program.
