I figured since there is a fresh batch of new episodes starting tomorrow, I might as well get off my butt and clear off that part of the TiVo. :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who found Cordy/Connor to be really creepy. I mean, I could buy it when Cordy didn't remember anything about who she was. But this way ... as Sunnydale Cordy would say, ew!!! (*Loved* "Spin The Bottle", btw. You can still spot a Joss-penned episode from a mile away.) Vicki clarified: >Yes, Charisma Carpenter is pregnant. Baby is due in March. Well, I guess that does present certain ... difficulties. But still. Ew!!! Allen mentioned: > Which might help explain Cordy's Amazing Wonder-Gazongas . ;) Y'know, I was wondering about that. I had never noticed her, erm, endowment before, even when she was wearing tank top kinds of things. I was actually wondering if she was pregnant. So, to think of more intellectual things from the episode ... watching it with the additional background we got from last week's _Buffy_, I'm wondering if Buffy's resurrection really is the thing that brought the First around -- or if it's the only thing. Connor's birth doesn't exactly fall into the realm of should-have-happened either. And what is that thing that rose up in LA? Certainly not the First ... is it LA's version of the Ubervamp? I don't know if even Faith could take that thing on. Looking forward to the new episodes ... ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org NEXT UP: Holly Figueroa, 1/26/03 ============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Jan 2003 21:18:59 -0700 From: "Susan Kroupa" Subject: b/thanks! Thanks to all who cleared up the confusion I had earlier about The First (when I thought in a panic that I'd missed a crucial episode of ANGEL.) I got season three on DVD and sat down right away to watch "Amends," which certainly has much to bear on this season's episodes. What a marvelous episode, and I hope that whoever suggested that maybe the power that brought to snow to save Angel in "Amends" will step in again (or already has, in the form of Giles?) to help save the day this season. I was struck again by Faith--what a compelling character--and how much she adds to every scene she's in. In the interviews with the writers on the disk, one of them said that it was Dushku's vulnerability always showing under the bravado that gives her such intensity, and though I hadn't exactly put it into words, that is exactly what I find irresistible in Faith. Can't wait for the rest of this season! Sue ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V5 #10 ****************************
