If so, you have to wonder if it was a > glitch or deliberate. I looked at my tape and yes, Spike's reflection is not only in the store window glass, but highlighted by the (turned off) TV set in the window. Could have been a mistake, since it is faint, but with this show, yah just can't tell. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 06 Nov 2002 23:42:02 -0500 From: meredith Subject: Re: B/Him Hi, Todd commented: >Some funny moments tonight, but not I think a >particularly good episode. I must disagree. It wasn't an A episode, but it was one of the funniest ones ever. See! The return of Vapid Buffy (which SMG does *frighteningly* well)! Willow looking like one of Charlie's Angels! Anya being ... well ... Anya!! The whole love-spell thing has been done (more than once) before, but this was a different enough take on it that it was still interesting. (Though I could've lived without the flashback to Xander's love spell. We got the allusion, thank you very much!) The scene where we watched Spike tackle Buffy through the principal's window had me rolling helplessly on the floor. I had to rewind and watch it again. Some great moments, and a fascinating monologue from River. Inara is such a wonderful, complex character -- though I still have no clue what she's doing on that ship. Yeah, she must have a thing for Mal -- but why?! (Gotta love "Kaylie's Room", too. Hee! Loved the bit where she ended up the toast of the gearheads at the ball. That kind of hit home with me.) _Angel_ is rocking along, too. (Do *not* piss off Fred! Oy!!) It's great to have Cordelia back, and she's enough of her Sunnydale bitchy self to inspire nostalgia, yet not so much that I want to slap her or anything. The whole dynamic with her and Connor and Angel is only going to get more interesting, I think. One has to wonder -- is the big evil that's coming the same one as they're expecting in Sunnydale? One thing, though -- Cordelia had a picture of her with Angel. How can Angel be photographed, if vampires don't even cast reflections? (Re Spike's reflection in the window ... methinks that's one we'll see Joss slap himself upside the head about at some point in the future. I seem to recall a similar thing with Angel casting a reflection that he was quite upset about when he saw it.) ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org NEXT UP: Chris & Meredith Thompson, 12/8/02 ============================================== ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V4 #162 *****************************
