SPOILERY STUFF FOLLOWS, DELETE MESSAGE NOW I gotta say, I braced myself to read that Eliza Dushku won't be coming back after all ... don't do that to me!! :) While it would have been nice to see Amber Benson back (my guess is that Joss intended to have her come back as an embodiment of the First Evil, like Jenny Calendar), the news isn't as bad as I'd feared. Though what is up with "couldn't agree to a deal"?! It's not like Ms. Benson is having to fend off offers left and right. If I were her, I'd ask her agent not to be so picky. ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org ============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2002 18:19:22 -0800 From: "Berni Phillips" Subject: Re: B/Animated show a no go, link to bad news casting spoiler From: "meredith" > SPOILERY STUFF FOLLOWS, DELETE MESSAGE NOW > > > > > While it would have been nice to see Amber Benson back (my guess is that > Joss intended to have her come back as an embodiment of the First Evil, > like Jenny Calendar), the news isn't as bad as I'd feared. I envisioned the part more as a human (or maybe witchy human) who happens to look exactly like Tara. It's too bad. Benson was so good as Tara with all her nervous tics. I'd really like to see her play a totally different character to see if she's convincing as that, too. And I agree that she shouldn't be so picky! I understand that she is in great demand as a director, etc. Her indie movie was a huge sucess. I really doubt that she is all that interested in being in front of the camera. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2002 22:30:06 -0500 From: meredith Subject: f/pilot to air Hi, Word is that FOX will air the original _Firefly_ pilot on December 20 from 8-10 pm EST. I will state that I emphatically disagree with pretty much everything this guy has to say about _Firefly_ ... but I'm fast coming to the conclusion that I'm the only one on the planet who is liking the show even a little bit. http://www.bostonphoenix.com/boston/arts/tv/documents/02492622.htm ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org ============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2002 20:05:04 -0800 From: "marty" Subject: Re: f/pilot to air nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo > Hi, > > Word is that FOX will air the original _Firefly_ pilot on December 20 from > 8-10 pm EST. > > Betcha it's the "very special farewell episode" ... > > ============================================== > Meredith Tarr > New Haven, CT USA > mailto:meth@smoe.org > http://www.smoe.org/meth > ============================================== > Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series > http://muzak.smoe.org > ============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Oct 2002 20:07:36 -0800 From: "marty" Subject: Re: f/painful review I like it a lot, but who am I? I'll bet Christy is the first watcher of genre television ever to hear from them!! _Farscape_ was cancelled over three Nielsen people ... all _Firefly_ may need is two or three more people with Nielsen cards watching! Let's hope the glitch that sent Christy her card burps out a few more...
