I was thinking, a few weeks ago, that if Dushku became permanently unavailable, that Jessica Alba ("Dark Angel") would be a smooth substitution. The two actresses are very similar physically, and what is Alba doing now that her show's been cancelled? The two actresses are very similar physically, and what is >Alba doing now that her show's been cancelled? Ooh, now there's an intriguing thought! I just heard that she's been cast in a teen flick called _Honey_. I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I think she's playing a dancer who falls in with a gang crowd and converts them all using hip-hop. Or something. I think her character is also a love interest for Mheki Phifer, who is the latest PITA doctor on ER. I would much rather see her on _Buffy_. Only Eliza can do Faith, but Alba could play another kickass role and it'd be great, I'm sure. :) ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org NEXT UP: Annie Gallup, Saturday, 9/28 at 8 pm ============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Aug 2002 21:31:33 -0400 From: meredith Subject: b/dushku on letterman Hi, I just got around to watching last night's Letterman. Eliza Dushku was indeed on, though no mention was made of either _Buffy_ or _Angel_. However, I'm not taking this as proof that Faith won't be returning to either show after all, since Letterman being Letterman, the interview was pretty much devoid of any useful content. (I have to admit I did laugh at his "nice to meet all three of you" comment, though -- her dress *was* rather, um, revealing. :) Her voice was totally shot from all the publicity she's been doing for _City By The Sea_, but she was very personable and funny. She is currently filming a movie called _Wrong Turn_, which based on the info on the IMDB looks like it's going to be an absolutely horrid teen horror flick based on either a bad campfire ghost story or an X-Files episode, I can't tell which. Hopefully she does indeed have trouble to return to the _Buffy_ and _Angel_ lots this season! ============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org NEXT UP: Annie Gallup, Saturday, 9/28 at 8 pm ============================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Aug 2002 23:44:26 -0500 (CDT) From: allenw Subject: Re: b/dushku article On Wed, 28 Aug 2002, meredith wrote: > Berni wondered: > > >I was thinking, a few weeks ago, that if Dushku became permanently > >unavailable, that Jessica Alba ("Dark Angel") would be a smooth > >substitution. Well, considering that Dark Angel was cancelled in favor of Firefly, she's probably spending her free time cursing Joss Whedon's name... ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V4 #127 *****************************
