When I peeked into my stillpt box last night and saw the volume of postings I just figured the thread was continuing on, and in my sleep-deprived haze decided to leave them for the next day. I guess this is what I get for trusting civility to rule the day. As listowner, I have the capability to change list settings. This includes setting levels of moderation, ranging from moderating specific individuals to moderating the entire list. There are many reasons why I am loathe to do any of this, but if conditions continue to make me think it's a good idea, I'm willing to go that route. In the meantime, I remind everyone that if a discussion is descending into the realm of the uncivil, it is the listmember's responsibility either to drop it (preferably) or take it to private email. And I promise to all, as Aslan is my witness, I will never misspell "Tolkien" again!
