Something to kick around until we get new episodes, anyhow. I'm only going to talk about what may or may not have been foreshadowing, and I'm not going to be comprehensive. Just a few things here and there. Willow's Dream: Not a lot here. Tara's "Everyone is wondering about the real you" _might_ be a reference to Willow's future transformation, but is probably just typical anxiety stuff, like most of this sequence. Giles-the-director's mentioning the need for energy during "the musical number" gave me a giggle. Xander's dream: More to work with here. In fact, there is so much in one part that I wonder if Joss wasn't actually looking back at it when he wrote "Tabula Rasa". Not only does Spike appear in a tweed suit, Giles actually says "Spike is like a son to me." Then there's the whole "like a shark....with feet...and on land" thing (remember the cheesy loan shark villain?) Then there's Anya talking about thinking of getting back into the vengeance biz. Gile's dream: The sign behind the vampire Buffy "stakes" with a balloon at the sideshow is labelled "Count Drac". "Buffy vs Dracula" is, of course, the first episode of season five and although Buffy stakes him several times it's clear that he's not done in. Giles has to choose between being a Watcher (watching Spike pose, in fact) and having a family life (Olivia with an empty pram). He chooses the former, but since he's gone back to England I wonder if he'll also end up choosing the latter. Perhaps we'll see or hear about Olivia again. There's also a short scene in his apartment with Buffy where the only furniture is the chair she's sitting on. Foreshadowing his moving out, maybe. Buffy's dream: Joyce is living in a hole in the wall. Perhaps foreshadowing her death, perhaps something else or nothing. Buffy: We're not demons. Adam-as-man: Is that a fact? Make what you want out of that. I'm too tired and already (I fear) rambling. The big stuff is Guide Tara's dialogue. "You think you know. What's to come. What you are. You haven't even begun." Very general warning, there, and I hope we find out what it comes down to. Of course, "Be back before dawn/Dawn" was the biggest of all. Buffy looks at the bed and wonders who it is made up for. This was written far too late in the night for me. I hope it's not too disorganized. Yahoo!
