OTOH, the only way it would have much of a chance, I think, would be either a massive effort by Buffy fans or a decision to just give special awards to LOTR once the three movies are all released. - -- | jzitt@metatronpress.com http://www.josephzitt.com/ | | http://www.metatronpress.com/jzitt/ http://www.mp3.com/josephzitt/ | | == New book: Surprise Me with Beauty: the Music of Human Systems == | | Comma / Gray Code Silence: the John Cage Discussion List | ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 18:58:42 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Re: b/Hugo nomination! Nobody gave that B5 episode much of a chance, either. :) Heck, even if nobody is ever going to give the show the Emmys it so richly deserves, a Hugo is still a pretty cool thing. ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ======================================= Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html ======Next Up: N&K Nields 4/21/02====== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 16:11:18 -0700 From: "David S. A Hugo nomination is a cooler thing, amongst all the possible candidates out there, than the Hugo itself is among the five top candidates. If you follow me. I hope Joss and co. realize the honor. There's a handicap against tv shows in the current rules (only individual episodes can be nominated, so their fans have to get together and decide which ones to nominate, something B5 fans did in public forums every year), and BTVS, B5, and The Prisoner are among the few non-Trek franchise shows to have made it onto the final ballot. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 17:01:23 -0700 From: "Marta Grabien" Subject: Re: b/Hugo nomination! > >Very cool.
