But we've come to expect no less from Joss, haven't we? :) FOX has a 13-episode order in for it, and it's scheduled to premiere next season. The pilot starts shooting this week. Actually, I'd like to propose one person, too--when I saw him outlining the Path of the Hero on the whiteboard for a Buffy panel I was on, and discussing the ways that Buffy varied from this, well, he just seemed a natural for this group. :) Let me know what you all think about adding people. Thanks! What I do is ask that they read Don's "list manifesto" and check out some archived digests to see what the list is like, before they decide whether or not to subscribe. So far I haven't had any takers ... but that's ok. Don, what do you think? ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ======================================= Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html ======================================= (: New England Patriots - Super Bowl XXXVI CHAMPIONS :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 02 Mar 2002 15:33:38 -0500 From: meredith Subject: Re: b/return of R Hi, Just a quick thing before I head out for the evening (two shows (two different artists) at one venue 83 miles away, oy): When Buffy called Spike "William" at the end, I thought that was absolutely the cruelest parting shot she could have fired at him. I don't recall exactly, but in the episode where we learned of William The Bloody Awful's origins, didn't the woman who rejected him say "I'm sorry, William" too? I didn't see that as a term of endearment from Buffy at all. The look on Spike's face when she said it bears that out. ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth ======================================= Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html ======================================= (: New England Patriots - Super Bowl XXXVI CHAMPIONS :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 2 Mar 2002 15:52:07 -0600 (CST) From: allenw Subject: Re: New members On Sat, 2 Mar 2002, Susan Kroupa wrote: > I've had several people inquire about joining this list-serve and I didn't > know if we were open to new members or not. I didn't see "William" as a "term of endearment," but as a sign of respect. Exactly what Buffy said to him when she was reserching how he killed the two layer, then he indicated his desire for her. I just saw the ep on repeats. Buffy has called him William before. No, it isn't nice. It is reference to William the bloody awful poet. > > When Buffy called Spike "William" at the end, I thought that was absolutely > the cruelest parting shot she could have fired at him.
