You've put into words one thing I was thinking. Another: she needs to feel she has some power over these people (each of whom is sometimes in a position of authority over her), that she can act as well as being acted upon. Is that ordinary teenage acting-out? I would think it's a variation that has to do with the mob of young adults that has replaced her mother (and even her older sister, all summer) as her authority figures. >I find it believable. I agree, but I still tend to see more sexual energy under the sweetness than other viewers seem to. Not everything that's burning hot produces visible flames. Re: their ongoing argument about Willow's use of magic: this time I recognized a pattern that gave me chills. Willow is in such deep denial that Tara has long since recognized it. Tara knows that pushing directly only makes matters worse. She's trying to find a way through to Willow's common sense without triggering that defensive reaction. Unfortunately, she's failing. I've been in her position several times, and the last time I was there, I failed. I grieve for Tara. And TV Guide lists it still as just one hour with "Roswell" starting at 9:00. I'll set the VCR to tape long, just in case.
