Remember when Glory thought the key was in an inanimate object? How would _that_ have bled and opened the portal? I don't think this ending was thought through carefully enough. I hope Joss's successes haven't gone to his head >> That was exactly my thought when the blood was first mentioned. I was waiting and waiting for some little explanation, just some suggestion that some thought had been put into the thing. But instead, the Buffy sacrifice came with even less sense or explanation to it. It could have been really moving. A lot of character work went into it. But the lack of logic just took me out of the story. I wish it hadn't. I wish that Joss had put a little effort into the logic so that I could have immersed myself in the flow of the story and could have been as moved as I wish I had been. Hi, I found this on aintitcoolnews.com, for BUFFY and ROSWELL fans who don't have UPN affiliates in their area. If that's you, read on: >UPN offers its programming in blocks to non-UPN stations in >markets that dont have an affiliate. These non-UPN stations are >called secondary affiliates. Many WB stations carried the new >VOYAGER episodes and SMACKDOWN this way. > >If you all out there live in Austin or other markets without UPN, >NOW is the time to campaign local stations to carry BUFFY (I'd >suggest WB and FOX affiliates, WB in particular has no >Saturday night, and these shows provide solid ratings here in >the heartland). > >This is the time when program directors are making decisions >like this. If you wait til fall, when the new shows are late, it will >probably be too late, schedules will be set. ======================================= Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille ======================================= Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://www.smoe.org/meth/muzak.html ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V3 #95 ****************************
