Pickup is acceleration, not speed. Repeat: even a > Winnebago can go faster than that. > Nonetheless, since the horses *did* catch up, we must assume that this particular Winnebago lacked speed (as well as "pickup"). If one wishes to assume that it all makes sense (which I don't think is an absolute necessity), here's a couple more possibilities: 1: The Knights Who Say "Key" have some magical means of transportation. Actually, I think Occam's Razor supports this, considering the "how did they get into the country with all their equipment and horses?" question. Perhaps that's what the clerics were for (though they seemed all talk and no results when it came to the magic wall). 2: Alternatively (or additionally), if the main camp was outside of town, and if the clerics could detect the location of the Key and/or Slayer (or had visions of where they were, or better yet where they were going), then the Knights might plausibly take some short-cut and intercept the Scoobs. 3: Or, they could just have had several semis (or a bunch of horse-trailers), driven to near the Scoobs, and then attacked the old-fashioned way (after feeding their horses speed potions and/or methamphetimines). ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V3 #84 ****************************
