To my recollection it has never been stated whether demons are considered alive or dead, but since Spike =can= hurt demons, one might draw a conclusion about demon life-status from that. (Been keeping an eye out for it for weeks.) It's =huge=: the first volume is 360+ pages; the recent =Monster Book= is nearly 400; this new 2nd volume runs 472 pp.(!) Obviously, I can't say very much about it on half hour's acquaintance, but if you have the first volume you can legitimately expect (and will receive) More of the Same. Including the coolest part of the first volume, dialog cut from episode scripts (nearly every episode in the guide, from what I've seen so far). More as time goes on. Something I keep forgetting to mention: are we all aware that we have had =no= Joss Whedon scripts on =Buffy= this season so far? ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V2 #210 *****************************
