I had to watch DA (and skip ANGEL) because ex-Genie-ite friend Doris Egan is a staff writer. I was disappointed not to see her namein the front credits, then realized that this is the pilot and she wouldn't have been working on it then. She's a big BUFFY/ANGEL fan and unhappy about the scheduling. DA has its interesting points. In its vision of the near-future, it sometimes reminded me of Max Headroom minus the satire. Was anyone else struck by how much more Dawn looked like she could be Tara's little sister rather than Buffy's? Probably just the choice of actress but you never know with Joss. We do get another obvious hint that Tara is hiding something. Harmony and the whole vampire-gets-a-feminist-consciousness thing was very funny. BTW, I am going away on a trip for two weeks, and there is no assurance I will even get to see BUFFY while I'm gone... not sure if I hope these will be great eps or not. When Willow said something about evil people she definitely turned away. I was wondering myself if anybody noticed the Dawn/Tara resemblance. Something else I was wondering about. Everybody seems to know about Willow/Tara, but last week Joyce made that remark about "giving up on men" and seemed oblivious to the humor in it. This week though, Dawn's diary reference (something about getting them to teach her what the things they do together) makes it clear that Joyce does know. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? That could be another one of those things that are just a wee bit off in the bizarre parallel universe we've all woken up in this season. (I got a frantic voice mail from a client this afternoon: "You *have* to call me back as soon as you can. It's urgent. I missed the season premiere, so I have no clue where this little sister thing came from! Help!!" ;) So who else thinks Giles' Beemer is hysterically funny? (But *where* does he get his money?
