You're right, but without the presentation tape the network wouldn't have had anything to go on to decide whether they wanted a full pilot or not. So for all intents and purposes, the presentation tape is the "audition" that made or broke the show. Without the WB being sufficiently enticed by it to ask for a full pilot, there would have been no show, at least not on that network. +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | New Haven, CT USA http://www.smoe.org/~meth | +==========================================================================+ | "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille | | *** TRAJECTORY, the Veda Hille mailing list: *** | | *** http://www.smoe.org/meth/trajectory.html *** | +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Sep 2000 23:50:50 -0400 (EDT) From: klh@technologist.com Subject: o\Edgar, Rickey, and the Babe While I decide whether to point out to Don that Adam and the Intitiatives (undoubtedly the name of a bad Oughts House band) doth not alone make a season s*ck, figured that it's time to note that TWO of Babe Ruth's records stand to fall this season. Currently watching the Mariners game (via broadcast.com), and note that Edgar already has one RBI (it's the top of the 6th now), giving him 136 on the year. The major league record for a player at least 37 years old is 137, set by That Other Baltimoran (the one who isn't named after a Famous cookie). All right; maybe that one's not so great, but another Mariner stand to break Mr. R's LIFETIME record for walks. Rickey Henderson is seven short for the career, and may well break it this year. We now return to your regularly-scheduled Buffy sycophancy. - --------------------------------------------------- Get free personalized email at http://iaf.iname.com ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V2 #190 *****************************
