You're not the only person I've seen who watches BUFFY but not ANGEL (haven't seen the converse), but I don't really get it. They're on right after each other, they're set in the same universe, they tend to influence each other, they have similar creative teams, etc. Is it a matter of not having that extra hour in the week, or do you find ANGEL actively unappealing? Oh, and I've heard shows up at least twice on ANGEL this season. -Allen W. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Apr 2000 09:55:56 -0500 (CDT) From: allenw Subject: Re: b/superstar On Wed, 12 Apr 2000, meredith wrote: > Allen wondered: > > By the way: The monster attacked Jonathan, Buffy, Tara, and > >Karen-with-a-"K". Sure, it's a standard plot device; but if the victim easily repels the monster, as happened here, that makes it somewhat non-standard. And it wasn't that ineffective against Tara (*BAD* Buffy for ignoring Tara's injuries at the end! But I digress.), who only escaped with the aid of magic. > >Why was she staking out Jonathan's > >place in the first place; mere fan-stalking? > >Might this be devious > >foreshadowing? Well, David Fury's been talking about how we'll find out about LS/LMM next season, so I've been looking for more foreshadowing. And I thought that "K"aren seemed fairly telegenic. I wouldn't be surprised to see her again in some capacity. -Allen W. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Apr 2000 12:50:26 EDT From: GHighPine@aol.com Subject: Re: b/superstar In a message dated 4/13/00 7:58:13 AM Pacific Daylight Time, allenw@io.com writes: << Well, David Fury's been talking about how we'll find out about LS/LMM next season, so I've been looking for more foreshadowing. Day 2, in which the dream occurred), then that's certainly plausible. Especially if it's true that the main cast all have 5-year contracts, as Nicholas Brendon recently claimed; Joss could be planting clues to allow him to bring in a new Slayer for Season 6 if SMG leaves (as she surely might, considering her apparent career ambitions). _Allen W. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Apr 2000 14:05:37 EDT From: GHighPine@aol.com Subject: Re: b/superstar In a message dated 4/13/00 10:50:43 AM Pacific Daylight Time, allenw@io.com writes: << Well, if "counting down from 730" means "730 days (= 2 years, almost; I wonder if Joss forgot about Leap Year?) from May 25, 1999" (the intended airdate of Grad. However, the date an ep airs doesn't have the match the day it takes place anyway. Gayle ------------------------------ End of stillpt-digest V2 #81 ****************************
