They did play Beautiful Dream, Lamp, How He, and closed with Hard Lesson. Otherwise, it was primarily new material. Most of the new songs have a harder, more straightforward edge to them (in the vein of Hard Lesson or Funky) , and Beth's lyrics are just as direct yet multi-layered as ever. After playing Lamp, Ken commented that he was glad that they weren't writing songs that were that hard to play anymore. The best new songs have very simple two- or three-chord verses that explode into big, bouncy choruses. It doesn't look like the new album will be a let-down at all from the first two. Based on a quick glance at the set-list, some song titles are (or include) "Kids," "Runaway," "Comet," "Cat, " and "Freeze & Frizz". Thank you, and good night.
