Denise's post amused me so much though, that I just had to reply. First of, being a Chicks lover from WAAAAY back, I appreciated the info on the TV show. I don't get CMT, but I'll start bugging other Chicks' lovers who might have recorded the show. And I can see you are a Patty Griffin fan, too. I was at a friend's house and had a chance to see her video for "Chief," which was great. Imagine my surprise to learn that it was being shown on CMT! But the kicker was that Denise included Pink in her current playlist, which is also on my current playlist. I think all of us "serious" music lovers feel a little ashamed of liking Pink, but she's a real guilty pleasure, IMO. If it makes any of us feel any better, she is operatically trained. ;o) Also on the current playlist: Dixie Chicks' - Home Faith Hill - Cry Tim McGraw - Set This Circus Down Patty Griffin - 1000 Kisses Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball Puddle of Mudd (my other guilty pleasure) - Come Clean Mary Chapin Carpenter (at least one album always in rotation) - Shooting Straight in the Dark U2 (ditto) - Joshua Tree Shawn (ditto, natch) - Fat City And, since I've never posted, just so you know, I learned of Shawn in the late 80s, courtesy of Chapin, for whom she was often singing backup at the time. I lived in the DC at the time, and had followed Chapin from her Birchmere - 9:30 club days. When Shawn released *Steady On*, I made sure to get a copy and support her, because she came so highly recommended. :o) She also got a lot of radio play and interviews on the alt radio stations (before the formats changed), again, I think courtesy of the Chapin-connection. Fave album is Fat City, fave song is a toss-up between "Kill the Messenger" and "Orion in the Sky." But I've also loved the music she's done since then, too! Okay, that's it from me for another few months. :o) kindness, elizabeth in ND - -- Declaration of Independence for the Year 2002 / Reclaiming the Constitution of our Founders Petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/PEOPLE/petition.html NESARA NOW! http://nesaranow.4t.com/ NESARA NOW!
