I can hardly believe the lack of activity on the Shawn list these days. Where the heck is everyone? Well, I know someone mentioned this in the past few months or so; but, I want to bring it up again. I just got my copy of Chris Botti's "Night Sessions" CD, which features Shawn doing the vocals on the song, "All Would Envy." I LOVE THIS SONG. I have a wide and varied taste of music, some might say eclectic. I love all types of music, with the only exceptions being that of rap and country/western on a consistent basis. Although, I will admit there are exceptions to that rule as well from time to time. Anyway, "All Would Envy" was penned by Sting and has his fingerprints all over it. It's a bittersweet smooth jazz tale of an older man's love for a much younger wife. You know where the song leads from there don't you. Chris is a featured performer, trumpet player, on Sting's current "All This Time" tour. His smooth jazz CDs are gathering quite a fan base from what I've read. And, I have to admit, even as a guy myself - a straight guy, Chris is not hard on the eyes. My girlfriend has let me know in no uncertain terms that she finds him VERY SEXY and she has sort of fixated on the shirtless photo of him inside of the CD insert. So, my point is...this is a great song by Shawn and it deserves to be heard and supported by her fans. I think I only paid $10.99 at CDNow; however, I was looking at Ebay this morning and noticed at least three copies of "Night Sessions" available for under $5.00. I also looked at Chris' website and discovered that there is the possibility of a DVD being issued of one of his recent concerts, which featured Shawn singing "All Would Envy" and "The Facts About Jimmy." Well, that's worth the price of the DVD to me right there. So, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this DVD is actually released. Any news on that Lisa? Just thought I'd break out of lurkdom and share this with everyone on the list. Hope everyone is enjoying a Happy New Year so far. The addition of "All Would Envy" to my Shawn collection has made me happier. P.S. Big Hair we miss you. Hope all is well there in Texas. Take care everyone and happy listening, Terry Lee - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. I was just in Reckless Records (a used CD store here in Chicago), and picked up this CD tonight by chance -- it's playing as I got your message. Kinda freaked me out! I had gone looking for his stuff because he's done several songs with Jonatha Brooke on vocals ("Unforgiven" and can't remember the other one). Basically, on the two albums previous to the "Night Sessions" CD. I stumbled across this one and saw Shawn on a cut. It is quite Stingish, and Shawn does a great job. Now to track down the other two... (three, actually...) And he is HOT. Damn. ;) D > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-small-repairs@smoe.org > [mailto:owner-small-repairs@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Gus' Daddy > Sent: Sunday, January 27, 2002 12:10 PM > To: small-repairs@smoe.org > Subject: [s-r] All Would Envy > > > Hey Shawn fans! > I can hardly believe the lack of activity on the Shawn list these > days.
