I, too, would have liked to hear more of Shawn's acoustic guitar work on the album... but I wasn't really that surprised to not find it. Seems like it fits the pattern of Fat City & AFSR. My tastes tend to run towards as little standard production as is possible-- I get uncomfortable with things that sound radio-friendly. I don't particularly mind the production on Shawn's albums after Steady On, but Live 88 and Steady On will probably always be my favorite overall albums. Moving on to the Song o' the Week... moving to a more flippant tone... I've been listening to this song while reorganzing my computer files, and it's led to some interesting parallels. So don't be silly like Anna; take heed of the following lines: Everything changed in a matter of minutes And nothing was saved in time All of my old world and all the things in it are hard to find and always remember to save your data frequently! - --Anna _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. I had heard rumors of a list, but I never knew how to join. How many people are signed up? I just finished watching/listening to the live chat on TWEC.com. It was good, but too short. What did everyone else think? By the way (and I don't know if you all already discussed this), I am in LA and went to the show at the Roxy last week. It was great - one of the best I have seen. I can't wait until she comes back (with the band or without). It was my understanding that all rooms had "equal" shot at sending questions to Shawn, and all rooms saw the same questions, onscreen, chosen by the moderator and the replies from Shawn. It seemed that several people had several questions asked; I think it would have been nice if the moderator had allowed more people to, say, pose a question each(i.e., allow 9 people to pose 9 different questions, rather than 3 people to pose 3 questions each.) I did send about 10 questions in, but had none chosen for answers. Nevertheless, it was fun. I enjoyed the answers that Shawn provided, and I bet that twec.com will post a transcript. I personally had 4 of my questions answered...Now if I can remember the answers, I'd be glad to share them: 1. Where do you like to shop in NYC? Barney's 2. What do you like to eat? Dessert...chocolate cream pie. She likes to eat at Angelica's in NYC or any deli in the theatre district 3. What is the story behind the CD photography; is it regression photography? Yes, sort of 4. If you could perform with anyone living or dead, who would it be? Judy Garland I hope TWEC provides a transcript so everyone can see it. These are just snapshots!
