So, it's biased because I'm a huge fan of course, but so are all of you, I'm assuming. I really think this album is great. I was a little scared, because I didn't really know how anyone could top "Small Repairs", but I think this one at least matches it. There's definete evolution in Shawn's career, which is ironic because most artists would be thrilled to match the genious of "Steady On", Shawn's first attempt. To keep going up after that is truly amazing. Yes, what you've heard about John Levanthol's (spelling, I know this) obvious contributions. But it's not heavy-handed, and I don't think people say it to be negative, like it's taking something away from Shawn. They have a really great partnership. The album overall is definetely a lot more "pop" than anything Shawn's done so far. The song that everyone has been commenting on as either their favorite or their least favorite on the album is "Another Plane Went Down". This is my favorite track on the album. It's poetic and flowing. My second favorite would be the piano-voice track (much like "If I Were Brave") "I'd Say I'm Sorry Now". Although the shortest song on the album at barely over 2 and a half minutes, it's a gem. I wish she'd do more songs like that. Her voice sounds incredible on this record. She must have been at ease making this one. There aren't any songs on the album that I don't like. I think it's a phenomenal piece and I hope you'll all enjoy it as much as I have. I think Shawn is definetely in the position for some more Grammy's, not that that really means anything anyways. Actually, what I really hope is that she comes to the Midwest on her promo tour, because she hasn't been here in a while. Everyone have a great weekend and happy St. Patrick's Day. Do they do the green beer thing everywhere or is that a Wisconsin thing? ~Zach Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
