["Karie" ] Re: [s-r] Whole new you amazon info ["Lindsey Claypool" Subject: [s-r] Anywhere You Go Just wanted to say thanks to Jenn for the info on the Amazon sound clips. I have to say that I think "Anywhere You Go" may be my favorite from the new CD so far. A good friend recently downloaded the "Whole New You" single and burned a CD-R copy for me. I've listened to it about 250 times since Tuesday. And, I really hate to say it, but I don't think it will ever be among my favorite Shawn tunes. However, that has in now way dampened my excitement and anticipation for the new CD. I can hardly wait. I ordered my copy from Borders because they are offering the special edition with the extra track - "Fall Of Rome." I love those special editions with extra tracks!! I just received the 4-song sampler from Borders that features live cuts of "Sunny Came Home," "Round Of Blues," "Diamond In The Rough," and "This Must Be The Place," with the extra - "Roger Wilco." Very nice indeed. Oh, and more exciting news - I've been in contact with someone on Ebay about a CD made from original tapes of a 1975-76 live radio concert Shawn did solo and with a band. I can't remember now, but I think it was made while she was in Carbondale. It could be really interesting. Anyway, counting down the days until I get my hot little hands on my very own copy of the new CD. To quote Anikan Skywalker (aka future Darth Vader), "Yipee!!" Happy listening, Terry Lee - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. In Boston WBOS and WXRV are playing the new Shawn a lot! I'll add my own brief review of Shawn's new cd. LOVE IT! I like it more than "A Few Small Repairs." There is only one song I'm not into....and that's "Another Plane Went Down." The only song I've heard before: "Nothing Like You" I really LOVE: Matter of Minutes, Bound to You (Shawn's rawker), Bonefields, I'd Say I'm Sorry Now (the "If I Were Brave" type song of the cd), and the single -Whole New You. (Also really like: Anywhere You Go, One Small Year.) The songs I like more and more everytime I hear them: Roger Wilco, Mr Levon. She sounds amazing. I love the way she uses her voice. Worth the wait....as always! - -DC - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. (though i hope there are some more sparely produced tracks too.) i can't wait till march 27th! lindsey - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body.
