As well as the title track, the do live versions of Knowing What I Know Now, (Looking for the Heart of) Saturday Night and Polaroids. Colvin and Carpenter also team up on the CD compilation of Columbia Records Radio Hour, Vols 1 & 2. On Vol. 1 is Shotgun Down the Avalanche and Come On Come On. Vol. 2 features Round of Blues. (some amazing artists on these 2 cds, including Bruce Cockburn, Leonard Cohen, Boz Scaggs, Victoria Williams with Lou Reed, etc.) I bought these for the first time years ago (Columbia set is how I discovered Colvin), but since have spotted them often in second-hand shops. Ok, there have been complaints about how slow the list has been lately, and considering the recent info that our dear Shawn isn't going to grace us with a new album to talk about until *December* (lindsey wails in agony), I've come up with a kinda trivia type game we could play. I assume you're all aware of the six degrees of seperation theory...well, why don't we try to play Six Degrees of Shawn? It could be fun. Someone just comes up with a person not immediately recognizable as being connected to Shawn, and the rest of us try to link her to them. So what do you all say? I'll throw someone out there, in case anyone likes this idea: ok, how about we try connecting Shawn (through six degrees of seperation) to Calista Flockhart (the woman who plays Ally McBeal). Any takers? Yep, though if you can do it in less, that's even better :) For example: if we were connecting Alec Baldwin to Tom Hanks, I could say that Alec was in When a Man Loves a Woman with Meg Ryan, who was in Sleepless in Seattle with Tom Hanks. Obviously that took less than six degrees of seperation, but you get the concept? Let me know if you're still confused... - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Home" To: "Lindsey A. Vonda Shepard sings on Ally McBeal, which stars Calista Flockhart. So anyone else want to choose someone for us to connect Shawn to?
