It was a beautiful day in Baltimore yesterday where Shawn played a short, but free set at Artscape. She was a little late due to the fact that Continental Airlines lost her guitar. Oops. She wasn't too late though and of course it was worth the wait. She played a Paul Westerberg song that I was unfamiliar with ("Beautiful something"?) Another Long One, Get Out of this House, (then I'm not sure of the order) Trouble, Witchita Skyline, You and the Mona Lisa, Sunny Came Home, Round of Blues. Bruce, I think I saw you... any others I'm missing? She looked extremely cute. One guitar the entire set. No band, which she said usually gives her a hard time if she's not in tune for Sunny. Not much else to report. I'm looking forward to seeing James Taylor in October at the Meyerhoff. Shawn, Bonnie Raitt and Bruce Hornsby are playing together at Merriweather Sept. 2, I think. I guess its a good time to be living in Baltimore. Tiffany James _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. I get the Digest, so I apologize if someone already posted this. I was able to catch Shawn's free show at Artscape in Baltimore yesterday. My son was most pleased to witness Shawn in concert, as taking him to Washington DC's 9:30 Club is a pretty expensive venue for a 6 year old. Not to mention the bar tab he'd ring up. Here he was happy to drink lemonade and enjoy Shawn. This was a Shawn-only show, and it started a wee bit late, which Shawn blamed on Continental Airlines. My guess is that she came out cold, as she mentioned that she was just warming up on the first three numbers. As you might imagine, she sounded great anyhow. There was not as much chit-chat or storytelling as I have heard in the past. The time constraint may have had something to do with this, as Gatemouth Brown was the next scheduled act. Shawn made fun of the sound of a baby crying in-between songs, joking that, as a new mother, hearing a baby cry could make for a messy situation. She also recommended the Chris Rock HBO special. Maybe anyone else who was there could fill in any other anecdotes, or add anything I missed to the set list. Set List (as far as I can recall, order may be wrong): Even Here We Are Another Long One Tonight Get Out of this House Trouble You & the Mona Lisa Every Little Thing He Does is Magic (tempo change on chorus, nice) Steady On Wichita Skyline Sunny Came Home Round of Blues Phillip Metcalfe metcalfe@hn.va.nec.com Sterling, VA - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. I was just curious if anyone has been to see Lucy K recently. I'm going to see her Thursday in Hoboken, NJ and I'm SO excited. If someone could e-mail me a setlist I would really appreciate it.
