Looks like it's in the SW corner of Colorado. Length? Do you mean the length of the festival? If so, it runs from 6/17 through 6/20. For lots of info on the town of Telluride, how to get there etc, check out this web site: http://www.telluridemm.com/ or to see some pix of last year's festival, have a look at http://www.cruzio.com/~billpeet/Tellu98/Tellu98.htm or this old CNN report from last year http://cnn.com/SHOWBIZ/Music/9806/18/telluride.bluegrass/index.html where you can also take a quick tour of the town - and really, even when you're actually in Telluride you can take a fairly quick tour of the town, given that its not what could really be called big - not that it isnt worth seeing mind you. The festival's definitely worth going to, as I'm sure everyone here who's been will agree. We had a fantastic time last year even *without* Shawn, so that's gotta be saying something. Personally I think its worth going for the scenery and the Elks Park workshops alone, even if you never get anywhere near the main stage in Town Park - not that you wouldnt of course, but not everyone has the motivation to line up at 3am for a great spot (it helps if you take at least one friend who's willing to do that kinda insane thing.... thank March again for us will ya Lisa?) ;) One last tip - if you are thinking of going and want to fly into either Telluride or Montrose airports, I would suggest that you get moving on plane tix ASAP since there's probably close to 10,000 other people out there jostling for seats on those tiny planes - I know I was pushing my luck about this time last year trying to get a seat. Oh and if you tend to get a little on the queasy side when flying in small planes, you may want to reconsider flying into Telluride airport at all..... altho I'm sure BigHAIR & Sara can stress that point much more vigorously than me, since they lived (only just) thru the experience ;) kat :) (still wondering if there's any feasible way she can pull off another Colorado trip this year.... but sadly doubting it) - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body.
