Ok, I wanna hear about last year now! I have NO idea what has gone on for about 3 years now. Someone, please, help get me caught up! Sorry, I've been temporarily blinded by the smoke from BigHAIR's curling iron.... but I'm sure that until i get out of recovery and back into s-r trivia queen mode, someone else can take on these questions. Incidentally, for anyone who really *really* wants to relive or study up on last year's s-r mania, there are archives of every word we uttered at http://www.smoe.org/lists/small-repairs/. But you'd want to be really keen. My seeing eye dog's paws are tired from typing for me now, so I must go (isnt he a good speller tho? Hi Jenny. You're not crazy. I had the same reaction the first time I heard "Shotgun." The other one that really does it for me on the same record (I mean "Steady On", not "Live '88") is the title track. "Sunny Came Home" also hit me at a time when I was really receptive to the lyrics. "Days go by / I don't know why...." I'm glad you mentioned this. I, too, have often wondered why we don't talk about tis kind of stuff. Maybe it's time to go around and tell out *real* stories about why we like Shawn and how her music affects us.
