Me again... thought some of you might be interested in some information from what used to be the october project mailing list. They are, of course, now defunct, but there may be some new stuff from the lead singer, mary fahl, in the near future. This is a band that should have made it big. Some of you may remember that they opened for Sarah McLachlan a few years ago. Would have loved to have seen that show..Ah well. ============================ << Subj: Greetings from Mary Fahl Date: 98-07-22 13:25:20 EDT From: sacred@ix.netcom.com (Ron Schulz) Dear friends Mary is now online and recently contacted me with information regarding her current carrer path. I'm sure that she would like for you to be aware of her current projects, however, she would prefer that her address remain anonymous. Problem: My computer crashed last January. I lost my OPus list and was wondering if any of you have saved, in particular, the OPus in which I accidentally included all of the list members in the "To" field. I abstracted email addresses from the first 150 opuses, however, I never got around to saving, to a separate disk, all of the opii since. If you have it, please simply email me to let me know. DON'T SEND IT without my personal request, if you don't mind; I'm afraid that 50 people will send me a huge file with 600 addresses........I think you understand. I did email October Projest requesting a copy of the file, which I had sent to them when we closed the list down, but I have not heard back from them yet. Following is the email that I received from Mary. I will be happy to forward any comments that you may have, perhaps questions. I hope that you are all well, and I wish you peace. Ron Schulz +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dear Ron, FYI... I'm working with Ramsey McLean these days (he wrote most of the lyrics on the first three Harry Connick albums). The songs we're writing have been getting great feedback so I'm excited about the possibility of doing another album soon. I've also been doing lots of commercials (Nissan Maxima, Discovery Channel, Fisher-Price) that are running on air now. (Ya gotta pay the rent!) Hope things are well with you. It's been a long time. Best regards, Mary Fahl >> ========================= I miss October Project... sigh. ~jean, who heartily recommends the movie Ever After, if only for the movie score! yeah it's predictable... yeah it's cinderella... but if you like drew barrymore, this is her best yet. PS: Star Trek Fans: (you know who you are!!) ;) The new movie directed by jonathan frakes is due out on Dec 11th. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. No, I didn't see the "fairy", I guess I missed that too! It's not so good being a female with a full bladder at Starwwood!! Do you live in Nashville? Just wondering. Thanks, Jenn, for that incredible Chantal Kreviazuk review!! I for one am dying to see her... and now that i know she is good live, i'm making it a point. It's always great when you meet your idol and they turn out to be fabulously nice. It's something that sticks with you. Way to go, Jenn! ~jean aka bH PS: whilst on the subject of Chantal, i was lucky enuff to find that CD "Under These Rocks & Stones" for $1.99 in a bargain bin, so i got it for my sis... i have no idea why it was so cheap other than the fact that the case was cracked. Played just like my $15 one! Found the Toy Matinee cassette for 50c in the same bin. Moral of the story? Scour those bins, baby.. ya never know what ye will find. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body.
