She then proceeded to rattle off all kinds of interesting first names to prove her point. Caledonia was one of them. Rosie was amazed. Neil does an outstanding job on this one. Crowded House fans will like it, yet it definitely is not Crowded House. Lots of very interesting soundscapes and differing textures, yet he always nabs us with those crafty pop hooks of his. I find it much more satisfying than the Finn Brothers effort from '96. I also wanted to chime in with a recommendation for Barbara Kessler. I have had her CD "Notion" on heavy rotation for about two months now and it is excellent. She has strong songwriting talent and an excellent voice that can remind you of Shawn and/or Jonatha Brooke at times, yet that is happenstance, she has her own sound. I understand that she was impressive at Telluride, as well. She also has a live CD, Stranger to this Land, which is also very good, but Notion is excellent. - -john (she'll always be Swanhilda to me... congrats to Shawn, Mario and little swanie... er, calie) - ---Rob Love wrote: > > Now Playing: -Neil Finn: "Try Whisteling This" Now I know we have some > Finn Fans amongst us.
