Ahhhh! Shawn ala Muzak is quite interesting, eh? On my last big travel adventure, i was walking along in the almost empty airport terminal, waiting to catch a 6am flight out to texas, when i suddenly noticed that i was humming the song that was seeping from the airport terminal PA system... In between the announcements of "FAA Regulations require that you remain in continual control of all hand carry baggage"... blah, blah, blah... "and that you do not accept packages from Sadam Hussein Looking characters"... yadda yadda yadda... i could hear a song that had traces of Kenny G-esque stylings, Dentist Office strings, and a preprogrammed yamaha keyboard rhythm ya wouldn't believe. Took me a sec to realize what it was.... took a lot of seconds actually... and it finally hit me. I could name that tune in 42.4 notes: it was Climb On (a Back That's Strong). Yikes. Thank you for flying with American Airlines. ~jean aka bH PS: I've also heard Mona Lisa and Steady On in Eddie Bauer stores... but the REAL version... no saxophone and no strings. whew! :) now playing: Chantal Kreviazuk - Under These Rocks and Stones - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. Well I've finally got something to offer even though its only partially Shawn. I have a new cd from the 1997 Toronto Lilith Fair. Note: this is not the recently released 2 cd commercial one. Recording quality is very good and its an excellent show. The Shawn portion is her backed by an electric guitar and bass. The Sarah portion is particularly great. So as I suggested, I would be interested in making a tape copy of this for anyone who would like to trade a good quality Shawn tape. BTW, I have a copy of the 1984 cd that Beth so generously made copies available. Lets keep this off the list so please email me privately if interested in doing a trade. Set list is below. She's also in this weeks TV Guide (with a picture), about Seinfeld, in the 'Celebrities recall their favorite Seinfeld episode'. So that should complete the hat trick... lies about her in a tabloid, a correctly answered Jeopardy question about her, and a "Celebreties recall..." blurb in TV Guide.
