They specialize in hard to find and used CDs, etc. CDNOW sometimes has copies of hard to find CD singles too. Give those a shot. Jana, I heard the same thing, and Shawn's name was definitely mentioned, journalist Bill Moyers was also mentioned. I heard it on a newsradio station (KCBS). - -John At 09:06 PM 3/24/98 EST, you wrote: >Hi all~ > >I saw something on the news about a propasal for more funding for alcohol and >drug related rehab programs. It was manufactured in Sweden, but it's considered a German import. I heard that the live tracks were from a Nashville show, early in the AFSR tour, although that is unverified info. Cool picture of Shawn laying on a couch on the cover, don't you think? - -John ................................. . . John DeFord . . Sometimes the beauty of life . . ................... . . The concert was aired on WFUV radio in NYC and I taped it . . . the CD cuts sound exactly the same as the tape I made from the radio show. On the other hand, she concedes, alcoholism "hindered my creativity." That was nearly two decades ago and since then Colvin got sober, got successful, got married (to photographer Mario Erwin) and got pregnant (their first baby is due in August). Yesterday she was on Capitol Hill with actors Jack Klugman and Mackenzie Phillips and former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who have all kicked various addictions. They testified before a Senate subcommittee looking into substance abuse and recovery, and plugged Bill Moyers's new PBS series, "Moyers on Addiction: Close to Home." How does Colvin resist temptation in an industry rife with chemical excess? "One day at a time," she says. © Copyright 1998 The Washington Post Company Susan Krauss Krauss Research mailto:skrauss@hooked.net http://www.wenet.net/~skrauss - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body.
