If I recall correctly, Celine won the Grammy last year for best album, beating out A Few Small Repairs... hehhehheh... not that we're bitter or anything ;) Kat :) P.S. Once Blue - great album everyone - if you don't have it, get it. Very mellow Sunday afternoonish stuff (was listening to it this afternoon even). You both showed alot of guts in sticking up for Celine. I admire that, and think vocally she is amazingly gifted though overexposed. Methinks we all should brace ourselves as a similar fate could ultimately occur with Shawn with all of her recent success, though so far so good. I think she is doing all the right things now. Things can get out of hand real quickly as we all have seen. She seems to have good management Yes? And she's definitely not the "sellout" type! That's all.... ~Jenn Personally, I'm not a big Celine fan, but I agree that she is a very talented woman. I have no personal stories, but... I'd like to take up for Hanson at this point... I truly don't understand whatever offense they have done to any person, be they on this mailing list, or just the world in general... What is with the whole anti-Hanson sentiment anyway? They are three very talented, and yes, very young boys. They have written over 200 original songs in their short lives. They are devoted to their family and their music. They are writing stuff that we haven't heard in a long time, if ever, as a society... It's practically a whole new genre. An alternative-pop, if you will. I suspect that those that vocally bash these boys have heard the grossly overplayed, semi-overchirpy "MMMBop", and maybe listened to another song or two with a closed mind. I am not a Hanson-maniac. I do not profess that Taylor Hanson is "sooooo hot!" or anything. But I think they deserve what sucess comes to them. I own the album, and I don't regret it at all. It rests in my CD player with Shawn, the Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Call me eclectic.
