Going on memory I wanna say it was in 1993, she had a song who's hook goes: (clearing throat to sing it for you, hehehe;-) "Whatever way the wind blo--oh-ohh-ows, I'll be 'round----I'll be 'round for you." It had a video which looks like it was filmed in the arid, rocky parts around El Paso. The video was played non-stop on VH-1 and CMT that year. She had one or two other songs which followed that didn't have nearly the same success. Part of the reason why I would guess Leventhal hooked up with her is because Kelly is an Austinite and also a known friend of Shawn. I agree completely! Having your first baby at age 42 is somewhat risky to= begin with and if Shawn stayed out on tour I'm sure she wouldn't be able to bri= ng herself to stop signing autographs, etc. after shows. I realize other wom= en have continued to perform through pregnancy - I once saw Tina Weymouth play he= r bass "side-saddle" and dance around through an entire Talking Heads show when = she was seven months gone (and still have enough energy left to show up for the a= fter-show party) - but I doubt that Shawn has the constitution to handle it. Better= she should stop performing for a bit and not take any chances with her health= or with the baby's. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D Darwin Stearns e-mail: darwin@geocities.com =93Consume at a rapid rate, if you don't mind. In a message dated 98-01-17 20:06:27 EST, Sarah spake: << Just got done browsing the pictures and I have one question... what the heck is Shawn wearing? Powder blue with white polka dots? It looked a little early 80's to me... Shawn doesn't strike me as the polka dot type.>> LOL! What you *didn't* see about that outfit, Sarah, was the skirt she was wearing with that powder blue, polka-dotted shirt! It was a darker periwinkle blue with small navy, magenta and white flowers! Egads! But, yes... shawn being shawn, she looked good anyways. (If you have noticed... i just can't say a bad thing about my Guru! Well, with the exception of that feather boa she whips out once and a while...) << And Jean, from the one pic of you that I saw, your hair dont look that big! You must tell us how you came to be BH!>> Okay, okay... truth be told... that pic was taken shortly after a hair reduction. :) Some of you have expressed the betrayal you felt when you actually saw how big my hair WASN'T! Hehheh! Sorry to disappoint! Rest assured that it does indeed have large tendencies! (I came across my junior prom picture recently and it scared me! It was HUGE!) Perhaps a more accurate descriptor of my hair would be "Tall," and it gets that way on about a 3 week cycle, at which time i break out one of the many baseball hats in my BigHAIRED Collection. My cousins often referred to my hair as a cat sitting on the top of my head... (They no longer live to tell the story... hehheh.... I got them with my Xena sword, Kat!) ;) Anyways, I gave myself the name whilst in pharmacy school... the name stuck... and because of my height impairment, the name soon became "Little BigHAIR," a name to which i actually answer! i'm positive that it must've been around the time that "Dances With Wolves" came out... LOL! Oh my gawd.. i must be nuts. The MONDO BEST part of it all is that the mere mention of "BigHAIR" (as my friend sara reminds me), causes multiple neurons in Shawn's head to fire, thereby associating it with my existence on this planet. In Shawn Colvin's head, BigHAIR = Jean. BAHAHAHA! Dude! Who'da Thunk it?!? (I'm easily amused as you can see.) Hey! What can i say...it gets attention, eh Robert? Hehheh. I can't believe i just told that story to everyone. :) ~jean aka KindaBigHAIR <--- Wearing her new Radio In the Nude hat... Thanx Dee! PS: Welcome Back, Rox!!!!! Glad you are doing okay!
