Because of many nasty incidents surrounding Anna's modem, we haven't been able to post for awhile. However, I (Lindsey) love sharing my personal tastes with the world (or at least 150-200 people from it), so I thought I'd divulge my discoveries of 1997. Ani Difranco-- Living In Clip (I love Ani, and this CD is fabulous) Ben Harper-- The Will to Live (heard this playing at Bumbershoot while I waited for Shawn to come on-- she seemed to like it too) Shawn-- Live '88 (the only one of hers I hadn't heard till this year-- I adore it, of course) Paula Cole-- Harbinger (I didn't like Where Have All the Cowboys Gone, but decided to check out her earlier stuff anyway, since so many people seemed impressed-- I'm glad I did. I love the song Bethlehem) Crowded House-- Temple of Low Men, and Together Alone Sarah McLachlan-- everything, especially Fumbling Towards Ecstasy (love that CD...ahh...) Oh, and Anna says to add Richard Thompson. She likes Psychostreet too much. Well, that about sums it up.... So long, and thanks for all the fish Lindsey, typing on Anna's computer cuz she doesn't have a modem - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. I suggest, based on my most recent experiences: Liz Phair: Exile in Guyville Wilco: Being There Grateful Dead: Without a Net Any Led Zep album Indigo Girls: 1,200 Curfews Dylan & The Band: Basement Tapes Jonatha Brooke & The Story: Plumb For what its worth ...
