Hello Mary! Hello Small Repairers!

Wanted to thank you, Mary, for the inside scoop you provided for the
Telluride gig... It was a TREMENDOUS help.  And it sounds like you had an
incredible time!  I've gotten my tickets, and now i am positive i will have
insomnia for 6 months!  It is sure to be a BigHAIRed event.  Egads....They
don't have yellow cabs in Telluride, do they?  (::::shuddering at the thought
of the yellow cabs that attacked me in NYC on my last adventure:::::)   Any
other Small Repairers planning on going? (Like from Down Under, perhaps?
hehheh....)  Would be neat to get a [s-r] gathering together... The agent i
spoke with sez that the 4-day passes sell out pretty quick...  and the camp
and parking passes even quicker.  He expected them to be gone by early
january...  Condo/Hotel reservations -- sketchy at the moment; you can put
your name on a list, but it is only tentative until the owners get their
schedules in to the people making the reservations.  To find out more about

om/">Telluride Resort Accommodations</A>  or call 800.538.7754. There is also
a great Visitor's Guide, chock full of info on resorts, restaurants, day
trips, transportation, air service and lots more.... Even has suggestions

Telluride Visitor Information Center, PO Box 653, Telluride, CO 81435.  or
call  1.88.TELLURIDE, online at www.telluridemm.com  .

Hey~
I went to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 1995 and 1996.  My dad went
last year this year too.  Telluride is basically one long road of shops,
restaurants, hotels, and condos.  To get from one end of Telluride
(campgrounds) to the other (festival)  they have school buses that run all
say long.  If you camp out, then the buses will take you to the local high
school for showers.  I personally have never camped out though.  You also
have to leave your car in a huge parking lot, unless you buy a town vehicle
pass.  They only sell a few of these.  
The festival is a great time.  You get up early and claim your spot of
grass.  And you can leave it there all day without anyone messing with it. 
There are also usually workshops held at different places.  And artists get
together to put on mini concerts in Elks Park.

ok it's true... I have caved under BigHAIRed pressure and am actually 
intending on flying half way round the world to go to Telluride! Even 
trying to drag some friends along with me... Neill? Alana? wanta come 
too? Make it a true aussie invasion. Maybe we could get a group discount 
on airfares.. ;)

So I don't want to hear anybody whining about it being too far to go... 
heh heh... I can see us all now, sitting under our Small Repairs banner 
in the park.... what a delightful vision.

BTW, i think i read on the telluride web site that the town parking 
passes are already sold out... looks like everything's going fast, so if 
ya wanna go and don't have a ticket yet - get moving! (although there's 
always a chance I could be scalping my ticket at the last minute if I 
can't save up the airfare.... just kidding jena! I'll be there with 
bells on!)
