CD with 2 new tracks. Let's hope China Roses is on it. :) If my math is right, using the Enya New Album Release Methodology, an album with all new stuff won't be out til the next millenium, that is if we're all still alive. ;-P Cheers, Van Now playing in the 5-Cd changer: Queen - Queen Rocks (new song is classic Queen) Diana Krall - All For You Sarah Brightman - Time To Say Goodbye Yngwie Malmsteen - The Seventh Sign Katell Keineg - Jet ( Can we say Eclectic? ;P ) - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. Just picked up Loudon's new album with Shawn doing backing vocals on a couple of tracks. Produced by John Leventhal! (with Loudon) who also played many of the instruments. Plus many familiar names on the sleeve - Shawn Pelton, and Larry Campbell Nice to see him record a track "Primrose Hill" , where I used to live in London, just round the corner from where Loudon lives? or lived. (St. John's Wood) Although a nice area, Loudon's song seems to be about a tramp who lived on the hill. The tramp died recently. He had been offered accomodation by others (I heard that a band offered to buy him a flat or something - The Cure I think), but had not taken up on the offer. I don't know if Loudon wrote the song before or after the guy's death. I talked to Loudon at Shawn's gig about a year ago, just to say hello, but he said basically to stay a few minutes and have a chat. Nice guy. I was aware he was with a few people and wanted to let him get back to them before I pissed him off. Were you one of the others Ron? If so, sorry if I was a pain in the ass. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. The live songs are all with full band, there is some minimal banter before Mona Lisa (not the Lyle Lovett story). There is a sticker that says it was made in Sweden, but imported from Germany. This seems to line up with what we were hearing about the release/non-release of the single a few months back, meaning that there may be some others out there with three other live songs, which was discussed a couple of months ago. Have you folks in Europe seen this at all?? I'm wondering if Sony-Columbia in Europe finally decided to release it, or if I just got lucky enough to get one of the few... Happy hunting! John P.S.: There was only one... I would have bought more if any had been available... I saw her several years ago in Atlanta where it was just her and her guitar - and you could have heard a pin drop! I can remember hearing her foot tapping in time with the song....Everyone was listening and in awe (the way it should be)!! Those were the days - now I'm afraid she'll stop telling those great stories for good. Well, look at it this way, at least you got to see her (I'm jealous)! - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body.
