But, dear sir, if you're annoyed at the appearance of extraneous matter on this list, why did you subject Shawn acolytes to a re-quote of the whole abominated thread, complete with three copies of the auto-generated postcript? I don't mean to be combative, honest. Just trying to make what I hope is a valid point. Guess I tend to be forgiving of off-topic drift, but pernickety about careless wastes of net resources. Now, People -- GET A GRIP! Get a CLUE! __GET A LIFE!__ NSC means NO SHAWN CONTENT. If you really don't want to read non-Shawn related stuff, delete the messages with NSC (or the NSR I've seen lately) tag. It's just that simple. If you read an NSC posting, don't bitch that it's not Shawn-related. How much simpler can this be? All this whining about "I joined to find out about Shawn, why is there so much stuff that's not about her...." blah blah blah, ad nauseaum, ad infinitum is mindless and silly in the extreme. GET OVER IT! GO AWAY! LEARN about the power of CHOICE and make it WORK FOR YOU! Most every keyboard I've seen has a "DELETE" key, and most mail readers have a TRASH or DELETE button. Introduce yourself to these space-age features and lead a happier, more productive, more SHAWN-RELATED life! And cut the "Well, I don't want to subject everyone on the mailing list to my personal opinion about this non-Shawn-related issue, but here it is anyway. And why the hell are we STILL TALKING about this, but before we stop, let me just get in this one last word....." Yeah, whatever. You WANT to talk about it, and you KNOW IT. Just admit it! I responded to eb off the list so as to try and avoid this very debate. > If I want to talk about Diana, I'm sure there is a list somewhere where > everyone can express their grief with other sympathizers. There probably is, but all I want is to say is that we've been through this before, and I thought we'd accepted that we on the list are a community of people who've come together through one common interest (Shawn) but as a community should be capable of actually interacting on some real level of relationship. It's for this reason that a few of us felt comfortable with sharing our feelings with you all, in the hope that you'd just listen and understand our pain, even if you don't agreee with it. There was never any need for a debate on the righteousness of our feelings, or even on the appropriateness of the forum - if you don't care, don't read it. I do apologise that a few of us negelected to use the NSC tag, but at the same time it was fairly obvious from the subject headings that it was an NSC topic. Please can we all now just accept that we have different feelings about the subject, and can those of you who feel that it was inappropriate of us to bring it up please forgive us, and can we all move on. It was an emotional time for some of us (no matter whether you think it should have been or not) and, right or wrong, we were just looking for a little support or something from people we feel we know and trust. That's all. But I'm begging you, can we let it go now. I hope to God this doesn't just inflame the debate. Please can we email each other personally if anyone wants to say anything else about it. If you want to call me a hypocrite, you know my address. ~ Kat ~ - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. Laughing sounds good. In fact, I can't stop! I haven't heard anything about Shawn since becoming a part of this list, and that's really okay at this point. =) I can try another list, or take Phoenix's suggestion and exercise my deleting options. What's more, I've got people talking to me based on one little, what I thought to be a rather insignificant statement-"I don't know anything, but I joined for Shawn," or whatever I said...cool...I might stick this out... If anyone else has any other good advice for me and becoming a part of this group, send it my way. I'm having fun...I hope that isn't offensive to anyone....Thanks! Kellie P.S.
