You know it's weird, you never even think about something until it happens. So, I never realized what Diana meant to me until last night when I heard the news. I shocked myself when I discovered tears rolling down my cheeks as I listened to CNN and the others. I was even more touched as reporters who've for too long discussed news as if they were uncaring, unfeeling Vulcans broke down and barely contained tears. Diana, by all accounts, was always a kind, gracious, and giving human being. Both before and after her divorce, she was involved in charities and seemed always to want to help those who were unable to help themselves. Above all and through it all, she was a lady who never lost her grace or class. Of course, my hearts breaks for her sons. I can't even imagine losing my mother, and I'm 18. At a younger age, it can only be more devistating. I know this will be espeacially hard on the oldest, William. Last year, through an international exchange program that is set up via Ivy League prep schools here in American and with the ones in the UK, I had the honor of meeting Wills. Myself and 5 other Americans spent the day with him at the Academy. He was engaging, gracious, and kind. And I could tell, even in that one day, that he was very close to his mother. So, during this time that I can't even imagine; my prayers, thoughts, and love goe out to both the boys, but Wills in particular. I don't care what title he may or may not hold in the future, I will always remember him as one of the nicest (and most "normal") teens I've ever met. More saddened by this than I could have known, - -Casey - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body. I've been touched by many of them and was glad to know that I was not the only person mourning for someone I'd never even met. So, I decided that there needed to be some kind of forum where people could share their thoughts, feelings, and commentaries on the life and death of Diana. I invite you to visit the guestbook that I've set up and leave your comments and name. http://www.tisd.net/~casey/diana/ - -Casey - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@smoe.org with 'unsub scribe small-repairs' in the message body.
