OK, so although I've been a fan of both John McCutcheon and Richard for maybe about the same period of time, I'd have to say I immersed myself in Richard's music a little more. This is probably because I got a bunch of John's lps around the same time, but the Richard music I could take with me in digital format. Now it's different thanks to Apple Music. Anyhow, I attended John McCutcheon here in Phoenix this past Saturday, and listening again now, I hear how his voice inflection is similar to Richard's. Has anyone else drawn the same conclusion? John is best known for Christmas in the Trenches. It is a fabulous show to attend, as John played guitar, autoharp, hammered dulcimer, piano, jews harp, banjo, and fiddle, all solo for two hours. He was also very personable. Matthew ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V12 #599 ************************************
