I gave him something last night, 3 CDs of MP3's, that has him and his brother on it. In Washington DC we had a folk show on the radio on Sunday from 8 pm to 11 Pm hosted by a Dick Cerri. I have 37 complete shows on cassette, from 1985 to 1988, many featured Canadian Artist, Songs of the Sea, Stan Rogers, annual top 40 voted by the listeners, XMAS shows, etc. He was overwhelmed, as he knew Dick, very well. Dick's show was the number 1 radio show for the time spot, and was cancel by management in 1993, as Dick goes back on the radio to 1960. He just died. He is responsible for many in DC to learn of the likes of Garnet, John Gorka, Cheryl Wheeler, Christine Lavin, David Mallett, Buskin and Batteau, Bill Morrissey, Denver, Lightfoot and others. He never played any Shindell however. http://www.wfma.net/ He also played many of the older Folk people like the Limelighters, Brothers 4, Peter Paul and Mary, Pete Seeger, and so on. Ian and Sylvia. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/dick-cerri-folk-music-radio-host-in-dc-area/2013/10/18/d46cb6b0-383a-11e3-ae46-e4248e75c8ea_story.html Mike - -----Original Message----- From: Gregory Dennis Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2014 4:30 PM To: shindell-list@smoe.org Subject: RE: [RS] Life Thanks for sharing this about Garnet Rogers. He's a funny fellow and musician's musician. Good in concert, too. I hope Richard isn't going through what Garnet has.

We fans sure do get greedy for more music from our favorites. I'm as guilty of this as anyone. In the meantime some of us are fortunate to catch these folks in concert, god bless 'em.

I follow a Garnet Rogers, from Canada, as we see him every year. He mentioned at his show last night, that his new CD is coming out soon. I said that on his Yahoo group. and I was told its already out. And I checked the website, and it is out. So, now I have to order it, as it was probably at the show. No big deal, but I have to ask my wife when she gets home what she heard, him say. Anyway, his last CD out was 2007, 7 years ago.
