He's a funny fellow and musician's musician. Good in concert, too. I hope Richard isn't going through what Garnet has.

We fans sure do get greedy for more music from our favorites. I'm as guilty of this as anyone. In the meantime some of us are fortunate to catch these folks in concert, god bless 'em.

Recently my good friend Matt from the Army sent me the link below to an NPR interview some of you might have heard. It is with Artis Henderson who is the widow of our good friend from flight school, Miles Henderson. She has written and published a memoir with Simon and Shuster called Un-Remarried Widow. Miles died in a helicopter crash in Iraq in 2006. I recently finished reading the book. It was emotionally hard for me to read given it is about the death of my friend and all that they lost when he died. But I couldn't put it down. From an Army aviator's perspective it all made sense to me, technically speaking. I mean she didn't get any technical issues wrong which is a common pet peeve for military folks. Most importantly I thought the book really honored Miles, his service, and the love they shared. For me personally it answered many questions I have had all these years. http://www.npr.org/2014/01/12/261410855/months-after-marriage-a-military-wif e-becomes-an-unremarried-widow Miles and Artis are a real life Reunion Hill story. One sadly shared by thousands of families. I encourage you to listen to the interview and read her book. Sure, we all want new recordings for a artist, but sometimes, things happen. He was standing next to another soldier, a friend. They got hit by a sniper bullet. the bullet enter his friend first and then Ben. The friend died, but Ben lived, but it was a mess. The bullet is still in him. He had a rough recovery.
