I was merely saying that, when you look at the history of our species...well, weapons are omnipresent, at every stage of human "development" in every part of the world (on the grand scale of things, of course). If one were to classify the big characteristics of human civilization, the things that tend to be present in all places at all times, one would definitely have to include arms, defined as the means to conduct/defend against violence.
