Wolke" Subject: [RS] "Right Now" creepiness I am in the camp of "creeped out" in the "By Now" debate. The guy is definitely fingering his tire iron with his left hand after he lets the girl in; the ambiguity is really unsettling. I must be a cynic or I've just watched too many cop shows on television. No wonder Richard won't perform it anymore. It's a very weird place to go if you've got a daughter, and it must be squicky. Just goes to show that you don't have to write what you know, and that Richard has gone to some strange places to get his songs. He is fearless in his art, which is what makes his songs so incredible, and like no others. In the NY area, route 95 goes south across the George Washington bridge into New Jersey. It's a common trucker route, and the song takes place a few days after 9/11 (someone said Richard mentioned 9/18) so traffic would have returned to "normal".
